The choir’s workshop with Craig Courtney was an incredibly moving experience for all involved. Craig’s anthems have held a special place in our church’s worship over the years, and to be able to experience him conducting and rehearsing his anthems opened up a whole new world of music making! The choir loved hearing his musical insights, which helped crystalize his artistic vision. They were also inspired by the stories behind the anthems, which gave a glimpse into his artistic process. His deep spirituality brought a passion and devotion that transcended the workshop into an experience of worship, and our closing concert was very warmly received by the church. We will never forget the opportunity we had to make music with one of the most revered choral composers of our time.
